Mexican catering near Northway

How our Mexican catering works in Northway

Mixed diets are easy to plan with Mexican street food. There are vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, and corn tortillas suit gluten-free guests, and we give allergen information for every dish. At weddings, day or evening and leaving dos and retirement parties, we can serve tacos, quesadillas and a build-your-own taco bar for your guests.

In and around Northway, gardens and local halls are common choices. If access is tight or the ground is soft, we will plan around it. We plan the timings around your day, whether that’s speeches, a lunch break or a festival schedule.

Northway: venues, access and local tips

Northway is about 1 mile north of Oxford, in Oxfordshire. For Mexican catering in Northway, we can park up at venues, fields, drives and courtyards in and around Northway. We cover all 443 towns and villages in Oxfordshire, from the larger towns to small villages.

Parents planning a fundraiser at a school like New Marston Primary School might find a Mexican street-food truck draws families in. Before you pencil in Bury Knowle Park, find out who manages it: driving a truck onto parkland and selling food there both need their agreement.

We serve at events all over the OX3 postcode area. Local streets include Copse Lane, Marsh Lane and Upway Road; for an event at home on any of them, tell us where the truck or trailer can park. Main roads around Northway include the A40, which makes travel to your event easy. Close by, we cover events in Headington (1 mile south-east), Marston (1 mile north-west), New Marston (1 mile south-west), Headington Hill (1 mile south) and Headington Quarry (1 mile south-east). Larger places within reach include Didcot (11 miles south), Bicester (9 miles north), Abingdon-on-Thames (7 miles south), Witney (12 miles west), Thame (11 miles east) and Wantage (15 miles south-west).

Nearby you’ll also find Churchill Hospital (0.5 miles south) and Oxford Castle (2.2 miles south-west). Not far away are Headington Hill and CS Lewis Nature Reserve.

  • Local schools include Rye St Antony School (0.8 miles south) and Cheney School (1.3 miles south)
  • Local pubs include White Hart Inn (0.6 miles south-east)
  • Parks and local facilities nearby include English Faculty Library (1.5 miles south-west)

Mexican catering or something else?

A plated meal needs a kitchen and a larger team. A food truck or trailer is its own kitchen, so we need a suitable spot, access and the venue’s permission, with power and water confirmed when you book. Extras, such as more dishes, extra drinks or a longer service, are quoted on request, so you can choose what you need.

What you get with us

  • Served fresh from our truck or trailer
  • A clear quote
  • Quick, friendly service from the hatch
  • Allergen information for everything we serve

Northway questions

Could you serve in Bury Knowle Park?

Only with permission from whoever runs the park, often the council. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Could you serve our guests after a service at St Anthony of Padua?

Yes, at a garden, field or venue nearby where the truck or trailer can park. Service would be at the reception venue, not the church. Send us the reception address.

Do you bring plates and cutlery?

Please ask us. Tell us what your venue provides, and we will set out plates, napkins and cutlery in your quote.

What areas do you cover?

London and South East England: Greater London, Kent and Medway, Surrey, East Sussex, West Sussex, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

What about power on site?

Let us know what’s available on site, such as a supply from the venue near where we’ll park, and we’ll confirm what we need with your quote.

What if the weather’s bad?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

Do you clear up afterwards?

Our area is packed away and left tidy. Tell us the venue’s rules on waste and clearing up and we will talk it through.

Do you cater for big events?

That depends on the event. As a guide, it’s around 50 to 400 guests; tell us your numbers and we will take it from there.

Can I do a taco night myself?

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Think about numbers, diets and how much you want to enjoy the day. Ask us for a quote and compare.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Read our guide to taco bars.

For event organisers in Northway

Wedding planners and venue coordinators are welcome to contact us directly, and we’ll keep everyone informed on the day.

If you are planning an event on someone’s behalf, whether you are a planner, an office manager or an event organiser, we will work directly with you and the venue. It keeps things simple.

What happens on the day

We arrive in good time before service, set up the truck or trailer and get everything ready. When service opens, guests come up to the hatch or serving table. From late May to late September, sunset in Northway moves from about 9:00pm to 7:10pm. If your event carries on later, tell us what lighting the venue has.

  1. First, send us a few details about your event.
  2. You get a sample menu and a quote.
  3. We agree access, the serving spot, power and water.
  4. We arrive, set up and serve from the hatch.
  5. We pack down after service and leave the area tidy.

What Mexican catering costs

We will give you a clear quote. The main things that affect it are:

  • Whether you add a drinks bar or food
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Guest numbers
  • What’s on the menu

What’s on the menu makes a difference to the total, so tell us what you have in mind. We’ll suggest options to suit your budget.

What to tell us

To check availability and price, we need:

  • What power and water the site has
  • The address or venue name
  • The date and time of the event
  • What you’d like on the menu

Every quote is put together for your event. Tell us your date and guest numbers, and we will confirm whether we’re available that day.

Diets, allergies and planning

Dietary needs are easy to plan for with a little notice. We suggest:

  • Plan a vegan filling as well as a vegetarian one
  • Think about cover for guests in wet weather
  • Mention any other caterers or courses
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away quietly.

Quesadillas are a good choice for children and cautious eaters, because they’re simple.

The menu, item by item

Build-your-own taco bar

Fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings laid out for guests to help themselves, with warm tortillas to fill. Everyone builds their own.

Burritos and burrito bowls

Rice, beans, a filling and toppings rolled in a large tortilla, or served as a bowl instead.

Space, access and the venue

Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:

  • A route in that’s wide and tall enough, with soft ground checked in advance
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours
  • A flat, firm spot where the truck or trailer can stand

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we’ll advise.
