How our Mexican catering works in St Clement's

You can keep the menu short or make it a feast: a taco menu, or tacos plus loaded nachos, quesadillas and burrito bowls. Our Mexican drinks bar can be added too. It suits charity and school events and anniversaries and engagements, serving burrito bowls, tacos and burritos.

In a smaller place like St Clement's, your own garden, drive or a local hall is often the simplest option: no venue hire, and nobody stuck in the kitchen. Let us know about the route to the house. The process

We take care of everything you’ve booked, from set-up to service, so you can enjoy your event. Evenings in St Clement's stay light until about 9:25pm in June, but by late September sunset is around 7:10pm. Festoon lights or floodlights help once it gets dark.

  1. It begins with the basics: your date, venue, guest numbers and dietary needs.
  2. You get a suggested menu, with fillings agreed with you, and a quote.
  3. We check access, power and water with you or the venue.
  4. We arrive, set up and cook to order, with salsas and guacamole made fresh.
  5. When service ends, we pack down and clear our area.

Before we arrive

  • Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
  • Have level hardstanding or firm ground ready
  • Share the running order, including any speeches

How it compares

Next to a hog roast or a barbecue, Mexican street food is easier for vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free guests, thanks to separate fillings and toppings. The cost per head can fall as numbers rise, because the set-up is similar for different sizes of event. Tell us your numbers for an accurate price.

Diets, allergies and planning

Nearly every event has some special diets. To cater well for them:

  • Include at least one vegan filling
  • Guests with serious allergies should speak to us in advance
  • Flag anyone with coeliac disease
  • Ask guests about diets and allergies with your invitations

Allergen information is on hand for every dish, and guests are welcome to ask before ordering.

A tray of loaded nachos works well to start or as a late snack.

Planning the serving area

Before the day, we will agree where we park and serve. It needs to meet a few simple requirements:

  • Hardstanding or firm, level ground to park on
  • A spot for a taco-bar serving table
  • Details of power and water on site, agreed when you book

If in doubt, send us a picture of the spot and the access, and we will advise.

Popular choices

  • Build-your-own taco bar
  • Burritos
  • Loaded nachos
  • Quesadillas
  • Burrito bowls

Common questions in St Clement's

How far is St Clement's from London?

About 52 miles from central London, and we cover it.

Could you serve in Headington Hill Park?

Only if the landowner, often the council, allows it. Check with them, and we’ll provide what they ask for from us.

Do you clear up afterwards?

We clear our own area when service is finished. For anything beyond that, such as guests’ tables, ask us.

Can you serve in the rain?

We can keep serving from the truck or trailer in the rain, but your guests will want somewhere covered, like a marquee or gazebo.

When do you arrive?

We arrive in good time to set up before service. Serving times are agreed with you in advance, along with pack-down.

How spicy is the food?

We can keep it mild, and hotter salsas go on the side for guests who like heat.

What do you need at the venue?

Access and level ground matter most: a level spot to park, space for guests to queue and a little room for a serving table. Send us a photo and tell us about gates, slopes and soft ground.

Do you cook on site?

Fillings are slow-cooked in advance, then finished and kept hot on site. Tortillas are warmed on site, and salsas and guacamole are made fresh.

DIY taco night or a caterer?

Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. There are fillings to slow-cook, tortillas to keep warm and salsas to make. Our taco bar guide explains how.
