How our Mexican bar hire works in London
The margarita is the star of the bar: lime, tequila and orange liqueur, served cold. It suits garden get-togethers and milestone birthdays, serving alcohol-free drinks, aguas frescas and margaritas.
For a reception in London, margaritas and aguas frescas keep guests mingling. Town-centre venues may have set loading times, so tell us. We will check the space, access and power with you before the day, so there are no surprises on arrival.

Planning the serving area
Access is the first thing to check for a truck or trailer. We look for:
- Power and water arrangements, confirmed with each booking
- Permission from the venue or landowner
- Licensing checked with you before the day
Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we’ll tell you honestly before you book.
Menu ideas
- Margaritas
- Horchata
- Mexican beer
- Agua de jamaica (hibiscus)
- Soft drinks
- Fruit aguas frescas
The process
We need a level, firm spot we can drive the truck or trailer onto, and we agree power and water arrangements before the day. A photo of the space helps. A summer drinks reception in London has daylight until about 9:20pm at midsummer, ideal for drinks outdoors. By late September, sunset is about 7:05pm, and in December it is dark by about 3:55pm, so plan lighting around the bar.
- Send us the date, venue and numbers.
- We talk through licensing with you.
- You choose the drinks with us.
- Our bar staff serve your guests at the agreed times.
- We clear the bar at the end.
How to prepare
- Find out what power and water are available
- Confirm the venue allows outside caterers
- Share the running order, including any speeches

FAQs for London
Could you serve our guests after a service at St George the Martyr?
Yes. The church itself is not where we’d set up, but a hall, field or garden close by with room for the truck or trailer can work well. Let us know the reception address and we’ll check the access.
What’s the nearest station to London for guests?
Guests can use Elephant & Castle station, which is right in London.
Do you provide allergen information for each dish?
Our menus are planned with allergies in mind, nut allergies included, and give allergen information for every dish. We plan carefully and keep options separate, though we cannot promise a dish is allergen-free. Guests with severe allergies should talk to us before the event.
Do you follow the rules on serving alcohol?
Yes. No alcohol is served to under-18s, and we may refuse service to anyone who has had too much.
Can you do dairy-free food?
Yes. Dairy-free options are part of our menus, and we’ll tell you which dishes contain milk.
Can we have a build-your-own taco bar?
Yes. We can set up a build-your-own taco bar, served from the truck or a serving table, with fillings, salsas, guacamole and toppings. Read our taco bar guide.
Do you clear up afterwards?
We clear our own area when service is finished. Ask us if you’d like help with anything else.
Can you cater for children?
Yes, children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we will plan the menu with them in mind.

DIY taco night versus a caterer
Running your own drinks table is one option, but someone still has to mix, pour and keep an eye on it all evening. Our margarita bar guide has tips.
A DIY taco night works well for a small group. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, and handles allergen information for you.

- Tacos and taco bars, burritos, bowls, nachos and quesadillas
