Mexican catering in Greater London: what to expect

You can keep the menu short or make it a feast: tacos on their own, or tacos with burritos, nachos and quesadillas. Our Mexican drinks bar can be added too, with licensing checked with you. It works well for summer garden parties and milestone birthdays, with loaded nachos, a build-your-own taco bar and fresh salsas and guacamole.

Serving is quick: we serve from the hatch or a serving station, so a crowd is looked after quickly. When service ends, we pack down.

  1. Share the date, the venue and how many are coming.
  2. We plan a menu that covers every diet.
  3. We confirm the way in and where we will park.
  4. Food is served from the hatch or a taco-bar table.
  5. After the last serving, we clear our area.

Mexican catering across Greater London: what to know

There are 157 towns and 87 villages and hamlets in Greater London, so the setting can be anything from London, City of Westminster and Marylebone to a quiet hamlet: a level, firm spot, a way in and agreed timings. Parts of Greater London are within a few miles of the Kent Downs National Landscape, so check venue rules on vehicles, ground and access for countryside events.

London: If you’re celebrating after a service at a church like St George the Martyr, a truck or trailer parked at a hall or garden close by can serve the meal. A gathering in Newington Gardens would need the park owner’s say-so for any catering vehicle, and that is worth sorting out early. Around midsummer it stays light in London until about 9:20pm; by late September sunset is nearer 7:05pm, so summer evening service is normally in daylight. In December it’s dark by about 3:55pm, so winter events need lighting around the truck and the queue.

What we need at the venue

We’ll be honest if a space will not work, and suggest an alternative. What matters most:

  • Power and water, which we confirm with you for each booking
  • Permission from the venue or landowner
  • Room for a serving table for the taco bar

Prices and what affects them

Pricing is straightforward once we know the basics:

  • Your choice of food and drinks
  • Travel, parking and access
  • Plates, napkins and cutlery
  • How long we are needed on site

Cost depends on guest numbers, the menu and the length of service, plus any add-ons and the location. Every event gets its own quote.

What to tell us

Here’s what makes a quick, accurate quote possible:

  • Whether you’d like food, drinks or both
  • The address or venue name
  • The date and rough timings
  • What power and water the site has

Most quotes start with a few simple details: date, location, guest numbers and diets. Contact us for a quote: just fill in our quote form.

About the menu

Burritos and burrito bowls

A big flour tortilla wrapped round rice, beans, a filling and toppings, or the same served in a bowl.

Tacos

Warm tortillas with a choice of fillings, topped with salsa and fresh toppings. Fillings such as carnitas, chicken tinga or spiced mushrooms are agreed with you.

Catering for every guest

We take diets and allergies seriously. Help us by following these steps:

  • Check that your venue allows outside caterers and vehicles
  • Tell us how many children are coming
  • Let us know if a guest is coeliac
  • Include at least one vegan filling

Once everyone has eaten, we tidy up and pack away.

Loaded nachos make a good sharing starter or as a late snack.

Can I do a taco night myself?

You can host your own taco night for a crowd, but it takes planning. Fillings need slow cooking, tortillas need warming as you go, and salsas need making. Our taco bar guide explains how.

Not sure whether to do it yourself or book a caterer? Consider your numbers, your guests’ diets and your own time. Ask us for a quote and compare.

Greater London questions

Do you cater for vegetarian guests?

Of course. We can include vegetarian and vegan fillings like black beans or spiced mushrooms.

What about power on site?

It depends on the event and the set-up, and we agree power and water with you before the day. Let us know whether there is a supply near where we will park.

Can you do dairy-free food?

Yes. We offer dairy-free options, and we will tell you which dishes contain milk.

How does mobile Mexican catering work?

We park our food truck or trailer at your venue and serve hot Mexican street food from it. You can also have a build-your-own taco bar.

Can you serve drinks as well?

We can. The drinks bar offers margaritas, Mexican beer, aguas frescas and alcohol-free drinks. We will go through the licensing with you.

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free guests?

We can. We plan vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free options, with corn tortillas for gluten-free guests. Allergen information is available for every dish.
