Perfect for your party in Oxford

Every plate goes out hot, even when the party is outdoors.

Big or small, a truck or trailer works well. Typical bookings include:

  • Exam-results parties
  • Garden parties
  • Milestone birthdays
  • Christenings and naming days

Parks such as South Park generally need permission for vehicles and catering, so a garden or hired venue is often easier.

What your quote should include

  • What the caterer needs from your venue
  • How many staff are serving, and for how long
  • Whether plates, napkins and cutlery are included
  • A food hygiene rating you can check

Choosing a Mexican caterer

Mexican party catering in Oxford, served fresh

Taco bars are made for parties: everyone builds their own tacos from the fillings and toppings, so everybody gets what they like. On the menu are a build-your-own taco bar, quesadillas and tacos, and it is a good fit for christenings and naming days and exam-results parties.

There are plenty of party venues in Oxford, but home can be the best venue of all, if there is access. Let us know about parking and access. Everything is prepared fresh for your party and served from our food truck or trailer, so guests get it at its best.

For larger events, we plan serving points around your timings, so guests are looked after quickly. Tell us how long you have for food and drinks.

Many venues have rules for outside caterers: where vehicles can park, access times and the paperwork they need. Tell us what your venue needs and we’ll work to it.

Oxford questions

Which station is closest to Oxford?

Oxford station, about 1.6 miles west of the centre.

Can you bring your truck or trailer to South Park?

It depends on the park’s owner, who would need to agree to a catering vehicle on site. Ask them first; if they say yes, we’ll send what they need from us.

Do you cover Oxford?

Yes. We cover London and the South East, including Oxford and the rest of Oxfordshire. For a quote, drop us a line using the enquiry form.

Can you serve from my drive or garden?

It depends on the access and the ground. Tell us about gates, slopes and soft lawns, and we’ll confirm.

Do you do a taco bar?

Yes, a taco bar is one of the ways we serve. Tell us about your space and numbers and we will recommend how to serve.

Is the food suitable for children?

Yes, children are welcome. Tell us how many and roughly how old, and we’ll suggest mild options.

Can you plan for allergies?

Yes, and it helps to hear about allergies when you book. Under UK rules, caterers must give information on 14 allergens, and we do that for every dish (Food Standards Agency guidance). For severe allergies, please talk to us first.

How many guests can you serve?

That depends on the menu and the service time, but around 50 to 400 guests is the usual range. Tell us your numbers and we will advise.

Space, access and the venue

If a space is not suitable, we will tell you, and help find another spot. What matters most:

  • A quick photo of the access helps us plan
  • Room for a queue in front of the serving hatch
  • A sensible distance from buildings and neighbours

Not sure about your space? Send us a picture and we will tell you honestly.

Prices and what affects them

Here’s what makes the biggest difference to the price:

  • Timings and hours
  • The number of people
  • Parking and the route in
  • Staff for serving and the bar

The price depends on guest numbers, the menu and how long you’d like us to serve, along with extras and where your event is. Every event gets its own quote.

Getting an accurate quote

A few details help us give you an accurate quote. Here’s what to include:

  • Your date and when you want service to start
  • A photo of the space, if it is a garden or field
  • What you’d like on the menu
  • Access for the truck or trailer, including gates and ground

It’s easy to get a price: tell us the date, place, numbers and any dietary needs. We will come back with a clear quote.

Step by step

Your timings come first. If things run behind, let us know and we will adjust where we can. Sunset in Oxford ranges from about 9:25pm at midsummer to about 3:55pm in December, so autumn and winter parties need more thought about lighting.

  1. We start by checking your date and the space.
  2. You choose fillings, sides and extras.
  3. Power, water and access are agreed in advance.
  4. We serve hot food at the time you choose.
  5. We pack away and the party carries on.

How to prepare

  • Tell us when you want service to start
  • Check gates and access routes are wide and high enough
  • Have a marquee or gazebo ready in case of rain

Diets, allergies and planning

A Mexican menu is easy to plan for mixed diets, because options can be kept separate. A few tips:

  • Count adults and children separately
  • Have bins ready
  • Collect dietary needs with your invites
  • Tell us about narrow gates or low branches

We are set up before guests arrive.

Ask us about plates, cutlery and serving staff.

Can I do a taco night myself?

For a small group, a taco night at home can work well. For big numbers or lots of diets, a caterer makes life easier, with allergen information for every dish.

You can set up your own drinks table, but someone has to serve all evening. See our margarita bar guide.
